Industry Department and Institute of Motive Engineering: Organization of "Vietnam tram forum"

(TCCKVN) On the afternoon of March 29, 2019, at Hanoi University of Technology (HCMUT), "Vietnam Electric Vehicle Forum" took place, organized by the Industry Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) in collaboration with the Institute of Mechanical Engineering. Motivation (Hanoi University of Technology), Global Electric Vehicle Association Network and ASEAN Electric Vehicle Association Network organized.

 Attending and directing the Forum were Mr. Pham Tuan Anh, Deputy Director of Industry Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade); representatives of Ministry of Transport: Department of Science and Technology, Environment Department, Vietnam Register Department, National Traffic Safety Committee; Mr. Daehwan Kim, Chairman of the Global Electric Vehicle Association Network; Chairmen of electric vehicle associations: Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines; Prof. Dr. Hoang Minh Son, Rector of Hanoi University of Technology; nearly 100 experts and scientists from universities, research institutes, enterprises producing cars, motorcycles and spare parts.

Opening the Forum, Mr. Pham Tuan Anh, emphasized: “Sustainable development is a common trend of the world and the Government of Vietnam strongly participates in the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change COP 24; Using renewable energy sources, clean energy is one of the important solutions and content for the goal of CO2 emission reduction. Vehicles that use alternative fuels or use environmentally friendly resources receive a high priority, in which electric vehicles play an important role. Electric cars have been invested by many major automakers in the world to develop technology, produce and widely use in many countries such as the US, China, Korea, Japan ... Manufacturers of electric cars and cars Outstanding self-driving now can name as Tesla, Nissan, Toyota, Hyundai, Renault, BYD. The ASEAN region has recently appeared strongly on the world map of the number of cars produced annually, of which electric cars receive many preferential policies thanks to their environmental friendliness. Policies to support environmentally friendly vehicles in general and electric cars in particular applied by countries will be valuable lessons for Vietnam ”

At the Forum, policy makers, researchers, experts, and car manufacturers, accessory manufacturers, electric vehicle associations exchanged experiences, finding the right direction for Vietnam's electric car strategy. The forum will also be the first step towards establishing the Vietnam Electric Automobile Association, bringing Vietnam to join the membership of the Global Electric Association Association (Global EV Association Network-GEAN).

Scientists have presented reports on the development of electric cars by leading automobile and components manufacturers such as Toyota, Hyundai, Master Motor, Mordentec and provided a panorama of coins. Technology direction of electric cars in the world. At the Forum, Vinfast also introduced the development and orientation of development, which affirmed its commitment to market the environment-friendly means.

The Vietnamese automobile industry is heating up, recently, by the presence of a number of new stars, domestic automobile production shows bright prospects, however, for environmentally friendly vehicles in general. and electric cars in particular are present in Vietnam market in a sustainable way, in addition to technological issues, many issues need to be concerned, such as infrastructure of power supply system, charging station, treatment battery waste ...

With the sharing of technology trends, experience in developing electric cars in Thailand, Malaysia and the Philippines, Indonesia, the development of electric cars on Jeju Island - South Korea, strategies for trading electric cars in Korea Quoc is valuable lessons for Vietnam when developing electric cars.
